Built in 2027, in India, for the device the world already carries.
Chakshus exists because the smartphone became the most-used computer on every shop floor, every site, and every desk — and the software running on it never caught up to the work.
Put production-grade AI and Physical AI into the hand of every operator, engineer, and decision-maker — through smartphone applications that respect their time, their context, and their data. We measure ourselves on what changes after the user closes the app: the cycle that compressed, the defect that didn't ship, the decision that didn't wait.
A decade from now, the question "is there an app for that?" should have one answer in enterprise operations: yes, and it sees, understands, and acts. Chakshus is building toward a world where the phone is the primary interface for industrial intelligence — and the laptop is the exception, not the rule.
The name means eyes. We took it seriously.
Chakshus was founded in 2027 in India, by a team that had spent the previous decade watching a pattern repeat across factories, fleets, sites, and offices: the device that mattered most was the one in the user's pocket, and it was being used like a flashlight. Enterprise software lived on screens that were nowhere near the work. AI was being built for dashboards instead of for hands. We started Chakshus to invert that — to make the smartphone application the primary product, with AI for judgment and Physical AI for perception built natively into it. The phone is the eye, and the eye is on the work.
Six differentiators we won't compromise on.
- Phone-native iOS & Android productNot a companion app, not a responsive site. The actual product.
- Physical AI through the phone itselfCamera, microphone, IMU. No new hardware, no new cabling.
- Offline-tolerant by designThe work continues in tunnels, basements, and remote sites.
- Role-based flowsSame app, different surface for technician, supervisor, manager.
- Tenant-isolated data and modelsNo shared training without explicit opt-in.
- Founded and engineered in IndiaClose to the world's most demanding industrial-mobile environments.
Small team. High context. Outcome-bound.
[Team section: founders, leadership, engineering, design, customer engineering — add bios and headshots before launch]. We hire people who have shipped software that real operators actually opened the next morning.
