Chakshus
Engineering Operations

A field engineer's full toolkit — inside the phone they already carry.

The Chakshus app turns the phone into the field engineer's primary instrument. Physical AI reads nameplates, gauges, QR/RFID tags, weld seams, and cable runs through the camera — no second device required.

The problem

Today's reality, on the floor.

Engineering work is mobile, messy, and high-stakes. Site walks generate hundreds of photos that nobody re-opens. Inspection forms are written in laptop ergonomics and filled in glove ergonomics. Commissioning checklists fall out of sync with the latest revision. Handover documents get assembled days after the work is done, by people who weren't on site. Every minute an asset is undocumented is a minute of risk — and every truck roll spent re-capturing data is margin walking out the door.

The app-based approach

What the phone app does.

AI inside the app pre-fills the inspection, flags anomalies against the spec, and drafts the report in the engineer's voice. Guided procedures step the user through commissioning with embedded media; out-of-sequence taps trigger a soft warning before they become a defect. Everything is captured offline and reconciled on reconnect, with a tamper-evident audit trail. Supervisors see live progress on their own phones; clients receive the signed handover pack the moment the last step is closed.

Measurable outcomes

What changes after the app is in their hand.

  • [METRIC: e.g., "report turnaround from 4 days to same-shift"]
  • [METRIC: e.g., "first-time-right inspections up 2.4×"]
  • [METRIC: e.g., "truck-roll reductions of 18%"]
